One may just ignore the recent international crisis while looking at the Apulian “flying world”: the good news come from the Aeroporti di Puglia report on passengers traffic at year’s end: over the first 2011 ten months the total passengers figures for Bari,
Brindisi and Foggia show a staggering 4,961,093, which makes a good 16,5% increase if compared with the same 2010 period. The Salento - Brindisi airport scores best in percentage figures, with its 30,7% increase compared with 2010. The Bari Karol Wojtyla hub counts 3,151,156 total passengers until last October, a 10,2%
markup over 2010. A modest increase is to register at the Foggia based Gino Lisa airport, with its 62,336 and a mere 1,9% increase over 2010.
