Departure
Please reach the airport at least 2 hours before departure time in order to complete check-in and passport controls.
Domestic passengers with one hand baggage only may check-in one hour before departure time
If you fail to check-in 30 minutes before departure time you may lose your reservation and your seat may be assigned to next passenger on the waiting list.
Once check-in operations are completed we suggest you reach departure gates at least 15 minutes before boarding time, and to keep your boarding pass and ID documents with you.
You will receive your boarding pass at the check-in desk, you may access the aircraft only with your boarding pass.
Your boarding pass includes your name, family name, boarding time and gate number.
Flight assistants will retrieve your boarding pass at the gate and return a boarding card to the passenger with your assigned seat number.
ID controls will be completed before boarding, with a metal detector and radio controlled equipment. Please leave metal objects and mobile phones before controls to speed up operations.
The Golden rules
Some “Golden Rules” to enjoy your flight:
1 – Plan your flight ahead of time, preferring daytime flights.
2 – Avoid intense activities the day before departure.
3 – Do not smoke before and during flight.
4 – While on board do not drink alcohol, eat a light meal and drink non sparkling beverages.
5 – Contact lenses are not recommended, as glasses may cause eye itchiness.
6 – Dress comfortably, avoiding tight clothing.
7 – Air sickness may be avoided by choosing seats over aircraft wings, where possible flight turbulence is less evident.
8 – Neck pain may be avoided with an inflatable pillow.
9 – Avoid directing air conditioned flows at or behind your head.
10 – If you suffer from hand stiffness, consider exercising with a foam ball while flying.
11 - If you suffer from bad blood circulation you should use elastic collants/socks and have a small walk every 20/30 minutes.
Your on-board pharmacy
If you are planning to stay away from home for a long time, it is advisable to bring necessary medicines with you, in case you may find it difficult to seek doctors’ advice while abroad:
1 – Bring along all medicines you regularly use at home.
2 – Some Countries require Malaria vaccinations, please plan ahead and bring extra medicines.
3 - Antibiotics may be a good remedy for fevers and diarrhea.
4 – Intestinal antibiotics.
5 – Fever and pain killers.
6 – High grade solar protection.
7 – Cremes against skin infections, insects and allergic reactions.
8 – General first aid kit.
9 – Insect repellants.
