AIRPORT OF SALENTO
The new Airport of Salento is a structure of great strategic importance to the service of a very wide which includes, in addition to the province brindisina, that of Lecce and a good part of that of Taranto. The Airport of Salento assumes, as articulated transport system in the region, is fundamental and can be considered for all intents and purposes port of privileged access to the territory of a strong tourist vocation. This important structure allows the dramatic improvement of standards of quality of services rendered.

• creating new commercial areas;

MISSION
The main purpose has been to improve standards of service, operational and functional on call. The expansion was achieved with the addition of new buildings along the four sides of the former airport, a plan on long sides and two floors tested on court. For prospectuses has been identified a solution without compromise and decided to search for a open space . For sides, however, was built a new structure with triangular portals in tubular steel, cross-pillar approach to existing alternating with high steel technology.
This type of facade chosen, as well as allow better control of microclimate and better comfort, allows a reduction of about 30% of energy needs. In addition to a strong formal characterization of the building, with recognizable aspect solid and durable, has exalted the idea of "place" not only for passage, but also meeting and exchange.
A large roofing panels rolled aluminum helps to draw the line posting coverage along the entire front road, allowing protection from the elements at the arrivals and departures. The technical requirements adopted for the project were all aimed a safe building , efficient and pleasant to live for all users, occasional and ongoing.
 
RECONFIGURATION OF ROAD 'PARKING AND LAND-SIDE
The  road  access to the airport and allocation of spaces for parking cars and stationary bus were totally inadequate for a period of  traffic forecasts from 2007 upto 2017. With the new project was decide to bring at new parking system and bigger spaces, creating a ring distribution  that allows greater fluidity of movement and a better understanding of space and functional hierarchies of traffic. All bordature roads and rows of parking spaces, as well as to the road, are arranged in green with a careful selection of plant  of this area.
